Job Summary
The Registrar is the official custodian of student academic records for the University and is responsible for generating, maintaining, and managing all student academic records. He/She is responsible for all aspects of the operations and management of the Office of Student Records.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge of applicable higher education laws (e.g., FERPA, Title IX, HIPAA, etc.)
• Knowledge of state residency policies for students entering education establishments
• Knowledge of university, state and federal regulations pertaining to compliance with privacy, academic, regulatory and accreditation policies and requirements
• Knowledge of supporting systems
• Excellent customer service skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong management, collaborative and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, verbal, written and interpersonal
• Effective problem-solving ability
• Ability to exert leadership in promoting good public relations in dealing with faculty, staff, students, other agencies and the community
• Ability to prioritize assignments
Essential Job Functions
•Provides leadership and supervision, ensuring effective and efficient operations of the Office of student Records, leveraging the latest technologies, software, and enterprise system, platforms to optimize office system performance
• Oversees all aspects of student records management: collecting, recording, maintaining, and reporting with FERPA guidelines, e.g., grades, registration data, transcripts, enrollment verification and other associated audits
• Oversees and approves the production of transcript of records to be issued when the student leaves the university or as requested at any time.
• Oversees, manages, and certifies all student record documents related to degree completion and Commencement exercises
• Participates in the planning, execution, and continuous improvement processes related to commencement
• Refines office operations to ensure excellent customer service

- Master's degree in Business Administration, Education, Public Administration or related field
- Five (5) years' experience in management of student academic records
- Specific knowledge of BANNER student module (document and course management systems) desirable
