The College of Business at Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the College of Business. The Dean reports to the Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor, and as a member of the Deans’ Council, works closely with other deans and members of the Academic Affairs staff.

Auburn University at Montgomery is a SACSCOC-accredited, comprehensive public university in Alabama that provides quality and diverse educational opportunities at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The College of Business (COB) is proud to be AACSB-accredited and house a separately accredited School of Accountancy. The College is home to the Department of Business Administration (including Health Care Administration), and the Department of Information Systems. Each area is led by faculty with experiences beyond the classroom. More than 85% of the COB faculty have earned a doctoral degree in their field. Faculty maintain currency in their fields and AACSB qualifications.

The successful candidate will possess an earned doctorate in one of the disciplines of the College from an AACSB- accredited institution; demonstrated experience evaluating faculty for promotion to the rank of Full Professor and credentials to qualify for tenure as a Full Professor in a specific College of Business department; a minimum of five years of successful academic administrative and leadership experience at an AACSB-accredited institution as a dean, associate dean, department chair/academic program director, or similar position; and demonstrated leadership in supporting a diverse faculty, staff.
