Leads development and implementation of high quality non-traditional registered apprenticeships working with regional employers and credit and continuing education programs. Ensures ongoing compliance with requirements for each occupation, employer, and apprentice. Responsible for ensuring expected outcomes. Occupation areas include business services, information technology, logistics, healthcare, manufacturing, and sciences.
Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, communications, education, finance, human resources, management, training and development, or related field and Master's preferred. Five (5) years of progressively responsible program development and/or project management experience required. Experience in the planning and implementation of system-level procedures, monitoring, and reporting required. Knowledge of apprenticeship, and/or work-based learning, and/or workforce development training models preferred. Outreach/marketing, budget management, and grant experience preferred. Experience with a related industry or program preferred. Related industries include but are not limited to: aerospace, bioscience, business services, education, government, healthcare, manufacturing, and information technology.

- Coordinate a functional process within assigned College department or division.
- Implement department programs or initiatives.
- Monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintains department records and files, as required.
- Conduct and attend meetings, as required.
- Supervise, advise, and evaluate assigned staff, as required.
- Prepare, analyze and provide reports on miscellaneous subjects, as requested.
- Manage program expenses efficiently and economically.
- Identify, access and analyze program data in the college's enterprise system
- Provide superior customer service and problem-solving.
- Provide leadership and management for Apprenticeship Center program development and implementation: Program alignment, procedures, models, best practices, and compliance for credit and continuing education programming.
- Ensure successful achievement of expected outcomes, maintain fiscal accountability, and ensure achievement of strategic goals.
- Document Apprenticeship Center programs and apprentices through data collection, analysis, summaries, reports, and presentations.
- Organize and maintain records and files to ensure compliance and accessibility for audits.
- Collaborate with agencies that oversee apprenticeship to ensure compliance.
- Interact with businesses, non-profits, and workforce intermediaries to establish apprenticeships, recruit apprentices/students, and manage apprenticeships.
- Provide ongoing guidance and facilitate ongoing employer reporting processes for all apprentices in accordance with approved Standards.
- Organize and lead orientation and informational sessions for prospective and current apprentices (credit and continuing education students).
- Evaluate, recommend, and assist with writing/editing applications for appropriate funding sources that align with apprenticeship activities.
- Establish partnerships with credit and continuing education faculty, staff, and professional colleagues to match and align programming with apprenticeship.
- Develop content for apprenticeship marketing efforts, website enhancements, and social media outreach.
- Represent and promote the college at affinity groups, professional business associations, and community and networking events.
- Council and advise apprentices/students for recruitment and retention.
