Responsible for monitoring and coordination of Public Safety system software; Computer Aided Dispatch System (CAD), Records Management System (RMS) and Public Safety emergency alerting systems, and inbound and outbound communications systems.
Associate's degree or achievement of an Associate's degree within one year of date of hire. Two years of full time experience in technical support responsible for system data bases, systems configuration, trouble shooting and project management. Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule as required at times by departmental necessity. Familiarity with the internal processes within a college setting and/or commercial security systems experience preferred.

- Provide technical systems support for the Public Safety department.
- Serve as the software administrator for CAD and RMS.
- Develop and conduct staff training.
- Generates reports as necessary and/or directed.
- Oversee the inspection process related to crisis communications systems.
- Conduct tests of inbound and outbound communications systems to ensure efficiency and operational readiness
- Ensure that service and repairs of department systems are completed in a timely manner.
- Monitor, diagnose and repair system issues.
- Responsible for equipment testing for Blaser, Whelan and TV.
- Oversee inspections.
- Testing, repair and reporting of DPS databases and emergency communications systems.
- Recommend business practices to improve the collection of information and the dissemination of crisis information.
- Coordinate software updates and patches with CCBC Information Technology Services.
- Maintain and administer the CAD and RMS systems.
- Travel between campuses to deliver essential training, service and support.
