Job Summary:
Connecticut College is conducting a regional search for an assistant director to work within our Annual Giving Department. A mission-driven Assistant Director/Annual Giving Officer will work with the Director of Annual Giving and other members of the Annual Giving and Advancement team to develop and execute a direct marketing strategy to increase donor participation and Annual Fund revenue. The Assistant Director will possess a strong operations and project management mindset and will take the lead in planning and executing signature giving programs that may include but are not limited to Camel Days of Giving, Athletics Giving, Giving Tuesday and Young Alumni Giving Days.
Within the Advancement Division, this position will develop and refine Young Alumni Strategy and Outreach (both on their own and in cooperation with other team members), be fluent in Technological Needs of the Division (Classy, Pledgemine, Vanilla Soft, Marketing Cloud, ConnForce), provide support on data initiatives (analytics, stats, etc.) and other duties as assigned. Compensation includes and excellent benefits package.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of relevant work experience required. Must be able to initiate and maintain donor relationships and communications on behalf of the College. Strong computer skills. Knowledge of constituent relationship management platforms (SalesForce preferred), social media platforms, and page layout programs; excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail needed. Must have high integrity to handle confidential information, ability to motivate colleagues and volunteers and to work with all staff within College Advancement, excellent organization skills and ability to set priorities and keep to deadlines and have the willingness to travel occasionally and work occasional weekends.
