Position Purpose
The Human Resources Liaison provides direct support for a wide range of human resources processes and programs for Provost and Student Affairs areas, ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.; Manages human resources processes including those for recruitment, position updates, hiring, onboarding, staff development, performance evaluations, and offboarding for central Provost and Student Affairs. Collaborates with the Office of Institutional Diversity & Equity ( IDE) to advance participation in and knowledge of IDE programs, helping to create a more inclusive and diverse workplace.

Recruitment Management – Plays a key role in attracting and selecting top talent for Provost and Student Affairs areas by assuming primary responsibility for managing the workflow in the Dartmouth Online Review & Recruitment ( DORR) system; collaborating with fiscal officers as needed to ensure the recruitment process is streamlined and efficient following fair hiring practices; creates position description templates that are clear, concise, and free of discriminatory language; posts job advertisements in a variety of media to reach a diverse candidate pool ; ensures hiring managers and search committee members are trained and supported; participates in onboarding activities and delivers relevant information about general Dartmouth HR policies to new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the college.

Staff Development and Training – Fosters a culture of continuous learning and growth by identifying and promoting staff development opportunities, especially for supervisors and hiring managers in designated areas; works collaboratively with directors and supervisors to develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed established benchmarks, and are compliant with HR policies and procedures. Manages the annual Staff Performance Evaluation process for designated areas.

HR Liaison and Communications - Is responsible for staying informed on current HR policies and programs, attends meetings, roundtables, and trainings offered by HR and IDE for HR Liasons, provides guidance to the division on their implementation and ensures that all staff are informed and equipped to comply with them.

- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in education and experience.
- 3 or more years of experience in Human Resources.
- Current knowledge of HR policies, practices, and procedures.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team'
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience communicating productively with all levels within an organization.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite and experience working with a variety of computer applications and databases.
- Experience handling confidential and/or sensitive information, exercising discretion concerning its disposition.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and to serving the needs of a diverse community.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR)
- Experience in higher education.
