Job Summary
Provide tier 1 support for SKYCTC students, faculty, and staff in a professional manner via phone – chat – email.
The job pays $12.00 an hour with a maximum of 15 hours per week.
Anticipated employment is now - May 2023, subject to employment expectations, such as dependability, punctuality, and confidentiality.
Job Duties:
Answer Technology Solutions helpdesk line and enter tickets into helpdesk ticketing software as the front line of the department.
Aid Technology Solutions staff with day – to – day routine to complex issues as necessary.
Place warranty calls on equipment to applicable vendors and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Work with Technology Solutions staff with projects as assigned, including but not limited to:
Running network cable
Working on computer hardware in the classroom
Imaging new machines – replacement machines
Others as assigned by IT supervisors
Minimum Qualifications:
Primary qualifiers for Federal College Work Study include completed current year FAFSA, citizen or eligible non-citizen status, credential seeking, making Satisfactory Academic Progress, demonstrated financial need, and enrollment in at least six Program Applicable credit hours.
Basic problem solving/troubleshooting – must be familiar with basic computer components
Work Independently with direction from Manager and Senior Staff
Physical demands – occasionally lifting 20-25 pounds, climbing ladders, and light travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to students pursuing an IT degree and/or previous IT job experience.
