Job Summary/Basic Function
The Department of Media Arts at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) faculty position (#144040) at the rank of Lecturer in Animation and Video and Film Production. This is a one-year temporary appointment with a possible annual renewal for up to three years. The start date for the appointment is August 1, 2023. The position is contingent upon funding.
The successful candidate is expected to teach a wide range of aspects of Animation and Video and Film Production, including but not limited to Post Production, Motion Graphics, Visual Effects, Virtual Production, 3D/2D Animation, Motion Capture, or other video and film production or animation courses. In addition, the successful candidate will have experience with current production tools, techniques, and technology.

- Terminal degree, such as an MFA in Film and Video Production or Animation or in a closely related field
- Master's degree in Film and Video Production or Animation or a closely related field and (3) years of professional experience
- Bachelor's degree in Film and Video Production or Animation or a closely related field with (5) years of professional experience
