ob Description: The Associate Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion reports to the Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer and will implement an evidence-based assessment plan for college-wide inclusive excellence activities and provide supportive leadership to the Office of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI). The Associate Director will create, manage, and implement inclusive excellence communication strategies.

- Provides college-wide leadership in inclusive excellence assessment.
- Provides supportive leadership to Office of DEI and the Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer.
- Leads and manages the development, distribution, and maintenance of all communication output from the Office of DEI, including but not limited to, the DEI website, DEI progress reports, and DEI co-curricular presentations and content.
Duties and Tasks:
- Measure, track, and analyze the effectiveness of short, medium, and longer-term inclusive excellence DEI Strategic Plan goals to established college benchmarks as identified in the strategic plan.
- Prepare reports and communication updates of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) assigned to the Office of DEI.
- Use KPIs and other quantitative and qualitative measurement tools, to identify and recommend strategies for inclusive excellence improvement.
- Provide supportive managerial leadership in the Office of DEI, including strategic guidance to the DEI Event Coordinator for fully implementing evidence-based DEI educational programming.
- Write, review, and edit DEI communication content for the website and other outlets to ensure DEI communication is engaging, clear, and in alignment with state, local and federal requirements, and best practices for marketing the college brand and inclusive excellence.Liaise, advise, and coordinate with other college-units at NOVA responsible for inclusive excellence progress including NOVA’s DEI Council, the Dean of Inclusive Excellence, DEI Campus Committees, and the Office of DEI.
- Serve on college committees, workgroups, or other duties as assigned by the CDEIO.
