Job Description

The assistant director of Employer Engagement is responsible for leading implementation of key aspects of the strategy for employer engagement established by the Executive Director for Employer Engagement. With a focus on an assigned portfolio of colleges the assistant director is responsible for developing, implementing, and assessing career and employer programs in assigned Colleges which support the student and employer experience including: search process for internships and first destination employment, maintaining employer relations, supporting employer contact with students. This position is highly collaborative, serving as a connecting point between employers, students, and faculty & staff of the assigned Colleges while also establishing and sustaining relationships with key employers.

Job Duties Include:
  • Implements an employer relations plan for assigned colleges developed in collaboration with executive director, college leadership and stakeholders. Collaboration and communication with campus and college partners and stakeholders to identify student demands and gaps for student engagement in co-curricular experiential learning and post-graduation employment. Maintain and develop relationships with key employers, build engagement opportunities, support recruiting and networking events sponsored by the Center for Advising, Career, and Experiential Learning and/or assigned colleges. Support employers' on campus or virtual recruitment activities and job or internship postings.
  • Lead student outreach and data collection and dissemination for assigned colleges. Lead implementation and completion of First Destination Survey, prepare and share relevant data with internal and external constituents to meet stakeholders needs and assess effectiveness of employer relations plans and activities. Serve as a primary liaison to students, faculty, and staff in assigned colleges to effectively promote employer engagement opportunities to students. Support student preparation to participate in employer engagements in conjunction with the college and the Career Network.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in MBA, Higher Education, CSP or other related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of related work experience

Pay Rate

The target salary range is $44,592 to $51,838 commensurate with the selected candidate's education and experience while considering internal equity.
