The Research Assistant/Associate Professor of Biostatistics will play a pivotal role in advancing research and statistical methodologies in the Statistical Core for Health and Medicine (SCHM). The SCHM is a core facility partnership between the Heritage College and the College of Health Sciences and Professions. The SCHM provides critical research services in statistical and research design to students, faculty and staff of both colleges and external partners to expand productivity and collaborative efforts in clinical and translational research.
Primary Accountabilities:
Oversee and lead the SCHM
Doctoral Degree in Statistics or Related Field
3-5 Years of Work Related Experience
1-2 Years of Management Experience

Pay Rate
The approved hiring range for this position is $90,000 to $105,000. Offers outside of this range of subject to additional approvals. The final offer will be commensurate with the candidate's education and experience in relation to the minimum qualifications for the position.

- Supervise the operations of the SCHM ensuring the delivery of high-quality statistical services.
- Provide leadership in developing and implementing innovative statistical methodologies, tools, and resources.
- Address complex issues related to the management and generation of large databases, conduct analyses for complex Phase I-IV clinical trials, and provide leadership and guidance for solutions in data management.
- Mentor, supervise and train staff and students in statistical techniques and best practices.
- Assist in establishing inter-institutional IRB and IACUC approval.
- Develop and lead an independent and collaborative research program in biostatistics or related fields (e.g. population health, medical sociology, epidemiology).
- Publish research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and present results at national and international conferences.
- Seek external funding opportunities and collaborate with existing researchers to support research activities.
