Job Description Summary
Responsible for coordinating and evaluating incoming transcripts and other records for the awarding of transfer credits, and maintain the transfer course equivalency tables in Colleague and examining various documents i.e. post-secondary documents, non-traditional documents, test scores to advise the transferability of such documents.

Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle, or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to a, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. No significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions.

Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- One to two years of college credit (30 credit hours are equivalent to one year) or equivalent formal training in related field.
- Combination of education and related experience for a total of four to five years.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Able to manage multiple priorities, work well under strict deadlines and tight time constraints
- Strong proofreading skills and detail orientation; high comfort level with computer and word processing programs, especially Word and Excel
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
- Strong critical thinking and research skills
- Able to communicate professionally with a range of audiences in writing, via telephone and face to face
- High level of flexibility and initiative
- Demonstrated ability to apply policies and regulations to complete work tasks
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to project a professional image and demeanor at all times

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Ensures completion of ongoing goals (e.g. ensures all evaluation requests are being processed for admitted students)
- Facilitates Reverse Transfer implementation by determining whether PGCC, and non-PGCC coursework qualify student for a degree/certificate. Collaborates with Coordinator, Graduation and Reverse Transfer, to complete appropriate evaluations and processes.
- Verifies the acceptability of course work completed at other institutions by evaluating transcripts/records from colleges, universities, military, government training programs (ACE), High School Tech Prep. Also evaluates international transcripts/credentials which are first evaluated through a recognized evaluation service.
- Functions as Transfer Credit subject matter expert; provides guidance and training to partner offices; consults, along with larger team, with IT department to facilitate technical improvements to the business process.
- Coordinates testing of proposed Colleague upgrades, implementation of transfer credit technological improvements and managing website improvements.
- Determines validity of course substitution requests.
- Verifies the authenticity of any record submitted.
- Coordinates the process of collecting request for transfer credit evaluation forms from students and matching them with the appropriate incoming record.
- Returns phone calls in a timely manner; responds to various departments' emails and student inquiries.
- Files various documents and completed evaluations in an effort to communicate with students who may have questions once they receive their evaluation results.
- Monitors the general education component of accepted course work to assure compliance with MHEC.
- Copies and mails course descriptions to external institutions or students.
- Researches student's inquiries via e-mail/walk-in/mail.
- Prepares monthly reports on the total number of evaluations completed and student's advised
- Attends workshops to understand transferability of foreign documents.
- Attends quarterly meeting of the Transfer Credit Evaluator Group meeting to gain knowledge and understanding of MHEC rules and regulations.
- Obtains knowledge of graduation requirements for various programs and provide unofficial graduation work up for students.
- Performs other duties as assigned
