Summary:
The College of Education has approximately 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students in four academic departments. The College has 11 Professional Development Schools and the Center for Access, Success, and Equity (CASE). CASE is home to the Ph.D. in Education Program, ASPIRE to Teach, an alternate route teacher preparation program, the Early Childhood Leadership Institute, and the Learning Resource South Regional Assistance Center. The College of Education provides direct services and support to the Rowan University Community and the broader community through the Early Childhood Demonstration Center, which serves preschool-age children and provides field and clinical experiences for early childhood candidates, Special Education Assessment Center, and the Reading Clinic. The annual operating budget for the College is approximately seven million dollars with an auxiliary budget of approximately five hundred thousand dollars to support the College's strategic priorities. The College has 85 faculty and staff, including 61 tenured and tenure track faculty. The College of Education, as the oldest college at Rowan University, has a long-held commitment to excellence in teaching, community engagement, and innovation in scholarship. Fully accredited by NCATE (now CAEP) as well as CACREP, all initial and advanced certification programs are also approved by the New Jersey Department of Education.
Reporting to the grant director of the Men of Color Hope Achievers (MOCHA) program, the Project Coordinator will focus primarily on supporting grant faculty, MOCHA participants, and partner districts/schools on the initial implementation of grant goals and objectives. Additionally, the Project Coordinator will assist the MOCHA program team in developing and administering day-to-day operations, services, and records for the NJDOE-funded MOCHA program to provide males of color the opportunity to earn P-12 teacher certification in a specific discipline/area of study through an alternate route program, in order to diversify the teacher workforce in New Jersey. This is a two-year, 12-month, grant-funded position, possibly renewable with additional funding.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
This successful candidate must have flexible availability. The hours will be 35 hours a week (full-time) and is a 12-month position.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare documentation and facilitate processes of MOCHA program implementation
- Provide budget assistance, in conjunction with PI and Co-PIs, on all financial matters related to MOCHA
- Process appropriate paperwork and develop/maintain database and records of MOCHA program activities, participants, procedures, and expenditures, including monthly budget reports and status updates
- Coordinate with the program director (PI), program investigators (Co-PIs), and community partners to develop and administer the MOCHA program
- Develop and distribute recruiting and marketing materials, including mailings to districts and county colleges, posting information sessions, participation in campus events, and meetings with key personnel to ensure aggressive marketing of the program
- Oversee existing student application and enrollment paperwork and processes, including recruitment, selection, organization of schedules, and tracking of eligibility
- Administer student engagement processes, including facilitating orientations, monthly communications, and programs for participants
- Communicate with offices throughout Rowan and external partners to ensure the timely processing of official requests, financial matters, space allocation, and materials to support grant activities
- Perform other related tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning
- Two (2) years of related professional experience (preferably in a P-12 and/or higher educational settings)
- Knowledge of public education in NJ, educational standards, and general processes
- Understands and values racial equity as an organizational operating principle and is committed to continued learning on issues related to race, equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and program coordination skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with program development and marketing
- Must be extremely organized and detail oriented
- Ability to multitask effectively and efficiently
- Skills in using multiple forms of technology and digital programs
