Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Development Officer for the Perdue School of Business.
Primary Job Duties: To cultivate donors and solicit private donations to support the mission of Salisbury University, with a priority for fundraising efforts and activities for the Perdue School of Business. Position would be expected to conduct 50+ visits per year, local travel 50-60% of a typical work week, provide fundraising support to Perdue School initiatives, such as MASMI and Shore Hatchery, and work closely with existing advisory councils and volunteer groups as directed by the Director of Development or the AVP for Development and Alumni Relations and the Dean of the Perdue School.
Minimum Qualifications: Three to five years of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Must have the ability to make unqualified calls. Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral and written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Fundraising experience.
This is a full-time, exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Starting salary is expected to be $67,000-$70,000. This position may require occasional weekend work/travel.
