Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Account Clerk III in Accounts Receivables office.
Primary Job Duties: The Account Clerk III supports the Bursar and Accounts Receivable department and will perform moderately complex accounting tasks to support Student Financials, the Cashiers Office and General Accounting. Tasks include, but are not limited to, ordering student refunds, Third Party billing, generation of collection letters and submission of delinquent accounts to CCU, the review and posting of waivers to student accounts, the daily posting and review of departmental files to student accounts, the maintenance of payment plans and providing customer service to students, parents and staff regarding complex questions related to student financials.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. Three years of accounting related experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and email required.
Working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles. Skilled in reviewing, processing and reconciling financial data. Ability to operate adding machine, use a personal computer for inputting data and learn financial software related to Student Financials. Ability to communicate effectively either verbally or in written communication. Interact in a professional manner with students, parents and staff.
The position is a full-time, non-exempt State position with full benefits. Starting pay will be $17.94 per hour which is approximately $37,418.00 annually with a 2.5% increase after satisfactorily completing a six-month probationary period.
