The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Stanford University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the junior level (Assistant Professor). We seek applicants in support of the department's vision of creating solutions for cities, communities, and nature to thrive (https://cee.stanford.edu/research-impact) who are working at the frontiers of Environmental Engineering, broadly defined. While we give highest priority to the overall originality and promise of the candidate's work, particular areas of interest in this search include resource recovery engineering, hydrology and water resources design, mitigating exposure to chemical contaminants, and air and water quality engineering, among others. An earned PhD, evidence of the ability to pursue a program of research, and a strong commitment to graduate and undergraduate teaching, and the ability to initiate and conduct research across disciplines are required. A successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels and to build and lead a team of graduate students in PhD research.

The expected base pay range for this position is:
Assistant Professor: $138,477 - $155,643
This base pay range is for a nine-month academic appointment and does not include summer salary. For more information about compensation and our wide range of benefits, including housing assistance, please contact the hiring department.
