Job Overview
The Office of Human Resources is recruiting for a Director of HR Business Systems & Analytics to direct and lead the department functions of the human resource information systems team. This includes defining and facilitating appropriate policies, campus-wide standards, plans, and controls for the human resource information system. The Director will work closely with campus partners to ensure that the HR data is accurately captured and integrity is maintained.

Job Overview
The Office of Human Resources is recruiting for a Director of HR Business Systems & Analytics to direct and lead the department functions of the human resource information systems team. The Director will work closely with campus partners to ensure that the HR data is accurately captured and integrity is maintained.
Essential Functions
- Perform many simultaneous and interconnecting activities in planning, facilitating, and supporting HR Business Systems.
- Ensure accurate data capture that promotes prudent compliance and enables comprehensive reporting.
- Compile a comprehensive suite of dashboards for university leadership displaying HR KPIs centered on talent management, benefits administration, and employee relations.
- Assist with the assessment of HR software solutions.
- Serve as a liaison between Central HR and DTS on projects.
- Serve as a liaison between Central HR, Decentral HR, DTS, Sponsored Research Services, Payroll departments, and others as applicable to resolve complex HR systems issues and ensure master data integrity and management. Perform audits related to employee and position data in HRIS.
- Develop, maintain, and facilitate informal training programs to promote understanding of systems and related processes.
- Optimize HR business systems and business processes in support of efficient and reliable HR services; lead assessment of new/emerging technologies to meet evolving organizational needs.
- Research to maintain awareness of current trends in HR technology and data analytics to promote innovative solutions and proactive approaches to anticipated HR related needs. Evaluate HR systems to identify points of improvement and recommend solutions.
- Manage report requests, modifications, and development to assist the university in making strategic decisions.
- Must maintain confidentiality with high level of integrity. Responsible for accurate and timely storage of HR-related documents in accordance with UC's Records Retention Schedule.
- May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
- Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience
- Seven (7) years of Human Resources experience
- Technical knowledge of HR Information Systems
- Experience in a higher education environment.
- Experience with HR information systems including SAP and SuccessFactors.
- Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
