Physical Requirements
The essential functions of this position require you to: provide visionary and strategic leadership and fiscal and resource management, communicate and build strong working relationships with staff, faulty and other individuals from diverse backgrounds, abide by University guidelines, maintain confidentiality, prioritize and manage work effectively, positively represent the university, report to meetings at different locations both on and off campus as well as work successfully with a team and independently.
Shift
Primarily days, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with additional hours as needed to perform job duties.
Job Summary
This position will be responsible for the Strategic Leadership Support for the Associate Vice President/Chief of Staff and for the Office for Institutional Diversity ( OID) Daily Operations, Program Development and Project Management, Create and Cultivate Internal Community Engagement Initiatives, Lead and supervise OID Professional Development and Team Culture Efforts, OID Assessment and Tracking, and other duties as assigned by OID Leadership.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate must show evidence of being a visionary leader that is outcome- and assessment-oriented with a keen focus on strategic management and program development, along with extensive knowledge about student organizations, institutional diversity actions plans, campus climate surveys and academic life. This individual must consistently demonstrate and encourage a commitment to inclusive excellence, quality, exceptional customer service, productivity, and continuous improvement. We are seeking a confident, highly-motivated individual with strong critical and analytical thinking, decision making, planning and organizational skills, as well as the ability to build collaborative partnerships and working relationships. The Executive Director for Institutional Engagement must positively influence others; possess unquestionable integrity, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Preferred Education/Experience
Master's degree and ten years of experience working in the areas of diversity, equity, inclusion or inclusive excellence across various constituent groups in a higher education institution.
