Job Summary
Primary responsibilities include developing educational and promotional materials for presentations and trainings; planning and facilitating trainings; developing and maintaining newsletter; researching and writing press releases, articles, and generating ideas for social media; drafting of email communications to stakeholders; updating current email lists for the Kentucky Occupational Safety and Health Surveillance ( KOSHS) program; identifying and reaching out to new stakeholders to build industry/occupation-specific email lists to disseminate KOSHS reports and outputs; identifying and generating a list of relevant trade publications and industry-specific journals
Responsibilities also include conducting outreach to individuals who have received a blood lead screening; identifying appropriate educational materials for reducing lead exposure; assembling and distributing mailings and managing all related correspondence; completing data entry for returned surveys
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; writing articles, newsletters, or press releases; public presentation

Preferred Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in public health, health communication or other related field and one year of experience
