Physical Requirements
Moving and lifting object from floor to above shoulders up to 25 pounds. Standing and sitting at computer terminals and laboratory bench completing repetitive tasks for extensive periods of time. Working with materials requiring personal protective equipment in accord with EH&S policy.
Shift
Monday through Friday; 8:30am – 5:00pm.
Job Summary
This position will assist in setting up a new laboratory for a new faculty member in Cardiovascular Medicine whose research focuses on heart muscle biology.
This position will also assist in preparing and executing laboratory experiments, data collection, and basis analysis as assigned. The successful applicant will be expected to be organized, able to demonstrate the ability to generate good experimental data, have strong verbal and written communication skills, and be a team player.

Preferred Education/Experience
Preferred degree in a related field (science preferred) and Research laboratory experience with mouse colony management/genotyping.
