Job Summary
The Department of Psychiatry seeks a CSW to serve as a member of a mental health team to provide mental health services to patients and families under the supervision of a LCSW. This position's duties include, but are not limited to individual and group therapy, serving as a liaison to community partners and group, educating patients and families on diagnosis, performing psychosocial assessments, completing appropriate documentation, educating patients and families on diagnosis, and providing individual and group therapy for individuals and families based on the identified needs. This individual will be eligible to receive supervision towards a LCSW license while expanding the mental health services available to the patients of the Department of Psychiatry.
This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ( CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted.
