This position requires regularly standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds; intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and performing tasks with repetitive motions.
Shift
Monday – Friday 8:00am -5:00pm
Job Summary
Performs evaluations per order. Treat patients with a variety of diagnoses. Complete chart reviews prior to patient care and refers to the chart as needed for ongoing assessment. Document in the medical record: initial evaluations, discharges, daily treatment notes, re-assessments, and any other documentation necessary for the delivery of patient care. Interact with other professionals caring for the patients to discuss plans of care. Educate patients and caregivers regarding their care, restrictions/precautions. Delegate responsibility to PTAs as appropriate.
This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and computer skills and will be able to work well in a fast-paced environment and have an active PT License.
