Job Description
The University of Missouri Department of Athletics is seeking a Director of Athletic Facility Operations. This individual will report directly to the Associate Director of Athletics for Facilities and Events. He or she must be committed to sustained excellence, including promoting the philosophy and objectives of the University of Missouri Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, including adhering to all Departmental, University, SEC and NCAA rules and regulations.
This individual will oversee day-to-day facilities operations including managing a team of custodial and facility coordinators and be responsible for:
- Maintaining inventory and assuring that all equipment needed to perform functions is in good working order and meets required use certifications.
- Planning, tracking and prioritizing facility projects and ensuring clear and consistent communication with internal stakeholders.
- Ensuring the highest standard for facilities appearance and cleanliness and ensuring needed services are supplied to internal customers.
- Formulating event plans and drawings utilizing CAD and other types of modeling.
- Developing workforce and staffing initiatives for facilities operations to ensure timely and professional execution for the department.
- Maintaining expert-level and current professional/industry standards and effectively representing the organization in internal and external interactions and communications and ensure regulatory compliance as applicable for all facilities.
- Mentoring and developing staff for succession and depth.
- Commitment to ongoing continuous improvement activities focused on efficiency and effectiveness of facilities operations
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
Salary Range: $50,367.00 - $55,000.00 annually
GGS Grade: 10

Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm; nights and weekends as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience managing a team of individuals.
A strong working knowledge of collegiate athletics and the demands associated with running a best-in-class athletics department.
