Job Description
This position includes basic food preparation, service, and/or sanitation tasks.
Prepare food according to instructions.
Follow proper food handling techniques.
Assist in completing the Serving Line Worksheets.
Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and secure working area.
Set up service/preparation areas as assigned.
Provide high-quality service to customers; assist in meeting the department's customer service objectives.
Direct, help train, and assist student employees in food preparation and service.
Clean and replenish the service/preparation areas, dining room, and dishwashing/pot-and-pan areas during and after service.
Complete required training.
Help the department constantly improve and reach its vision.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary
Salary Range: $12.05 - $15.86 an hour
Grade:GGS C

Shift
PM Shift - 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm, alternating weekends
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
- Six months experience in the preparation and service of food in an institutional or commercial food service facility.
- Ability to handle and lift heavy kitchen utensils and supplies (e.g. 40 pounds)
- Must pass POET exam.
- Good physical health.
- Knowledge of and experience in basic food preparation, including basic knife skills, service, sanitation methods and a desire to provide high-quality customer service are strongly preferred
