Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Real Estate, the Real Estate Analyst provides support to real estate staff representing the University in activities and transactions related to real estate while also independently managing a portfolio of basic real estate activities and transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with acquisitions and dispositions of real estate, including business plan preparation, review of legal documents and coordination of transaction elements.
- Assist in the preparation of real estate items for presentation to the University's Board of Curators.
- Work closely with real estate staff and Office of General Counsel to prepare agreements, amendments, and other real estate related documents.
- Provide real estate staff interpretational support of lease terms, billing issues, common area maintenance billing and operational expense reconciliations.
- Prepare analyses to be used in valuations related to acquisition, disposition and leasing of real estate.
- Generate and thereafter manage various real estate reports.
- Assist real estate staff with internal and external communications/information sharing.
- Maintain lease administration module for shared purposes (real estate and accounting), including entering new leases, expiring leases, and amending leases as needed. Perform lease management tasks, including tracking of all critical dates and terms, transaction management, file organization.
- Maintain real estate property database including entering newly acquired properties, documenting property dispositions details and updating other information/documentation as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
$50,000 - $60,000/year
Grade: GGS 10

Shift
8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday through Friday, adding up to 40 hours per week
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within commercial real estate organization with experience specifically working in lease administration, commercial brokerage, portfolio management or property management.
- Prior experience as a Real Estate Analyst, Asset Manager, Property Manager or Leasing Agent.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in financial analysis.
- Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills required along with the ability to multi-task and bring individual issues to timely closure.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and interpretation skills including experience with all real estate transaction types.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team centered, results-driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
