Job Description

This part-timeResearch Specialist Iposition is available in an active research lab on the cutting edge of research in areas such as reproduction and the effects of plastics on offspring, as well as other avenues. The person in this position will be responsible for breeding and taking care of mice, genotyping, tissue collections, and some molecular analysis, including isolating exosomes and RNA.

Shift

Hours of work vary, and will be discussed with Drs. Rosenfeld and Roberts in accordance with current research needs.

Typical weeks will require between 20 and 25 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least one year experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Science in biomedical, biological, or animal sciences area is preferred
  • College-level classes in the science regiment, such as biological or biomedical sciences
  • Laboratory experience
  • A propensity to quickly learn new scientific techniques
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $16.72 to 18.50 per hour. Salary is determined by a combination of education, skills, and experience.
