Job Description

The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a highly motivated and engaged Social Worker to join the Child Trauma Initiative (CTI) team at the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Medicine. This position will work on a sponsored project dedicated to expanding access to and providing high-quality, trauma-informed therapy to children and families across Missouri.

A highly desirable candidate will be interested in providing trauma-informed therapy modalities to children. Primary responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

1. Provide direct evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy services to clients and families.
2. Engage in case management services for clients and families including attending meetings with other stakeholders and referring to appropriate resources.
3. Complete timely appropriate clinical documentation including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, and utilize standardized measurements to make informed clinical decisions.
4. Participate in weekly administrative meetings regarding operations and processes for the Child Trauma Initiative program.
5. Attend and participate in weekly reflective supervision meetings to discuss current cases and participate in case consultation with direct supervisor.
6. Engage in activities that promote continual growth and allow preparation for productive and effective client sessions.

Shift

Monday-Friday, 8am – 5pm.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in related/ relevant area and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Licensure as required for position.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in trauma-informed therapy modalities, experience working with pediatric and/or family populations.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $51,875 - $81,744 Annually

GGS Grade: GGS-09E
