Job Description
The emergency hospital provides night, weekend and holiday patient care for animals that are critically ill, that are subject to change or deteriorate rapidly, and that require technically complex and time-consuming treatment and monitoring. Veterinary Technician responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Enter fees for all patients in a timely manner to promote excellent client service, Order supplies and stock the hospital daily with disposables, clean animal cages and the hospital facility. Maintain a wide variety of complex equipment that is vital to providing care for patients. Answer client phone calls and emergency questions. Perform triage for animals presented for emergency care. Assist doctors with emergency procedures including keeping accurate medical records, catheter placement, phlebotomy, radiography, sedation, and anesthesia monitoring for emergency cases.
Salary
Hiring starts at $17/hour
Grade: GGS 6

Shift
Monday - Friday 6pm - 8am and Saturday 12pm - Monday 8am. Shifts will be discussed during interview.
Please note that shifts include Nights, Weekends and Holidays.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology Program.
- Licensure as a Registered Veterinary Technician in the State of Missouri, or eligibility to obtain Missouri Licensure within 6 months after start date.
