Job Description
The Divison of Diversity and Inclusion is taking applications for a Senior Executive Assistant to the Vice Chancellor. Successful candidates will be professional, articulate office professionals known for their high-quality work, and ability to maintain confidentiality. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Review requests for appointments, determines purpose and assess priority.
- Manage the Vice Chancellor's commitments for meeting attendance, presentations, requested data and decisions, including preparation of daily materials and the management of upcoming events. Anticipate information needed, collect and prepare materials.
- Assist with preparing presentations.
- Responsible for timely, accurate and complete submission of agenda items for the Diversity Council, Board meetings and other executive meetings.
- Attend meetings to document discussions and decisions and follow up on requests and data.
- Manage budget and databases, including benchmarks and metrics.
- Act as a liaison, when appropriate, between the executive office and major outside agencies, including state, federal, local government and private industry.
- Assist in the planning, coordination and implementation of special events and program activities related to major partnerships.
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to individuals with previous experience providing administrative support in an executive-level office, for an elected official, or in a professional higher education office.
Applicants should be known for their outstanding record of dependability, outstanding communication and organizational skills, as well as advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook skills.
PeopleSoft experience is preferred.

Starts at $48,900 commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity
