The University of Pittsburgh's Division of Philanthropic & Alumni Engagement (PAE) is seeking a Senior Writer/Communications Project Manager to join a progressive team within our PAE Communications Department.
Senior Writer/Communications Project Manager serves as a writer and project manager for annual fundraising, alumni relations engagement, and related communications projects. The primary responsibilities are project and client management, and developing and executing multi-channel communications plans, which include creating content for print; social, and digital (email, web, and text); writing and proofreading copy; directing design; video production and scriptwriting; and photo management. Social media content development experience is strongly preferred.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong writing and editing skills, as well as a good understanding of layout for printed, electronic, and social media, printing, and graphic design
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, collaborate with others; and demonstrate a strong service orientation
- Exceptional project management skills, a strong service orientation and work ethic, and a highly collegial, and collaborative approach to meet the needs and deadlines of various departments in PAE, namely Alumni Relations and Annual Giving
- Experience with direct marketing, email marketing, and social marketing preferably for higher education and/or non-profit organizations
Equivalent combination of education and transferable / relatable experience will be considered per University guidelines.
Bachelor's degree with at least five years of relevant experience. The incumbent must have strong writing and editing skills, as well as a good understanding of layout for printed, electronic, and social media, printing, and graphic design. In addition, the incumbent must have the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, collaborate with others; and demonstrate a strong service orientation. Equivalent combination of education and transferable/relatable experience will be considered per University guidelines. Driver's License required.
