A Lecturer is a full-time employee who teaches 39 credits per year and provides student and learning support services over a twelve-month period, extending after graduation and continuing to the beginning of the school year. The Lecturer holds a strong commitment to teaching; maintains office hours; actively participates in the university community; provides Student Academic Support (SAS) including advisement, retention, recruitment and other as needed and directed academic student support activities; and does related work as required. This is a non-tenure track position that may be renewed on an annual basis. Teaching assignments and related responsibilities may include day, evening, weekend and online courses. Interest or experience in using advanced instructional technologies to improve the teaching/learning process is highly desirable. Courses may be taught at the Union campus, Kean Ocean, Kean Skylands or other locations. All Lecturers may be required to teach General Education courses.

Nathan Weiss Graduate College

School of Physician Assistant Studies – to teach MS courses in the PA program at the Union campus; actively participate in accreditation and assessment activities; conduct clinical site visits off campus and perform clinical assessments; and does other Lecturer duties as needed and assigned. Master’s degree; a minimum of one year of teaching experience at the post-secondary level or the equivalent professional/clinical experience as determined by the University; current Physician Assistant license in the State of New Jersey or eligibility for licensure; and current NCCPA certification is required. Five years of clinical experience is preferred. This position is available immediately.
