Job Overview:

Working closely with the AVP, the Director is responsible for the creation, planning, execution, and management of the fundraising activities of the College including major, annual, and planned giving. The Director is responsible for executing direct mail, e-mail, social, digital, video, and print outreach with the primary goal of increasing participation in and revenue for the Fund for Albertus. This role will carry a portfolio of 150 prospects and will be responsible for their cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. In addition, the Director may provide assistance to the Office of the President as requested. Assignments may be highly confidential in nature

Essential Functions:

Meet/exceed the unrestricted annual goal of $700,000 (FY22) and build endowment through targeted restricted giving.
Facilitate the design, oversight, and evaluation of giving programs that cultivate, solicit and steward prospects and donors. Programs include direct mail, e-mail, social, digital, video, and print appeals. Partner with the Office of Marketing and Communications to ensure alignment with core brand strategy.
Proactively manage a prospect portfolio of 150 individuals. Qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospects new prospective donors from an open pool of alumni, parents, and friends.
In partnership with the AVP, manage a comprehensive marketing and stewardship plan for the College's planned giving society (The Prospect Hill Society)
Coordinate giving days, crowdfunding projects, reunion giving programs and class gifts in partnership with the Advancement team
With the AVP, implement segmentation and data analysis to inform a comprehensive annual fundraising program.
Design, implement and manage creative approaches to fundraising efforts. Seek new opportunities for philanthropic support for the College.
Work with an intercollegiate athletic department representatives to develop a formal athletics program.
Provide support to the Vice President and the President for major/lead gifts and planned giving prospects.

Qualifications:

Five to seven years of fundraising experience or equivalent, higher education fundraising experience preferred. Campaign experience is a plus.
Demonstrated successful fundraising ability and ability to grow/develop donor pipeline.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Working knowledge of the various social media and technology platforms used in an office setting.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the College's Mission, history, and traditions.
Ability to work independently and on a team.
A positive "can do "attitude and ability to keep a positive outlook while working under pressure.
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact and collaborate with varied constituencies in a professional manner.
Creative, persuasive, and tactful with excellent organizational skills.

Special Work Schedule Requirements:

Evening and weekend work required; job-related travel required.
