The University of Maryland Eastern Shore currently invites resumes for a full-time, twelve month, tenure track position in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. The salary is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities: Teach courses and professional content related to patient/client assessment and management (primarily musculoskeletal); engage in university, departmental, and community projects that may include clinical obligations of the Department. Areas of instruction will include Therapeutic Exercise, Modalities, Electrophysiology and other physical therapy procedures.  This individual will also teach/coordinate courses as needed.  The successful candidate will be expected to develop a scholarship agenda and participate in professional activities. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from a regionally accredited institution with at least five years of outpatient clinical practice experience.  Also, he/she must be licensed as a physical therapist (or eligible for licensure and license obtained within 90 days of employment) in the state of Maryland.  Applicants with prior teaching experience, a history of scholarship activity, specialist certification from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (OCS or SCS) and a consistent full-time record of outpatient clinical practice will be given preference.

Department Information: The Department of Physical Therapy has fully equipped laboratories that include Human Anatomy, Motion Analysis, Cardiopulmonary, and Clinical Practice Simulation.
