The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine Huntsville Regional Medical Campus (HRMC) invites applications for Assistant Professor of Family Medicine, non-tenure earning. This is a part-time, physician faculty position with administrative responsibility for the Rural Medicine Program. Faculty are charged with promoting the School’s mission of education, service, and scholarly activity. The HRMC provides clinical training for 3rd and 4th year medical students. The residency programs on campus include Family Medicine and Internal Medicine that train a total of 60 residents. The Rural Medicine Program identifies and mentors students from rural and underserved communities. These students receive training that prepares them for success in medical school and throughout the four years in medical school, they participate in experiences that prepare them for returning to and providing care in their rural and underserved communities.
Candidates must have an MD/DO degree, board certified/eligible in Family Medicine, clinical practice experience and a love for teaching. The candidate must qualify for licensure in Alabama.
