Job Summary

Performs food prep duties such as brewing coffee/espresso drinks, slicing bagels, and serves same to customers. Performs a variety of duties such as: taking food orders from customers, operating computerized cash registers, checking systems, and various food production duties according to established procedures. Performs various stocking and cleaning tasks.

Education/Skills Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to perform simple math calculations; follow written directions; and possess good interpersonal and customer service skills. Additional skills: Demonstrated reliability and ability to work quickly and efficiently. Must demonstrate good personal hygiene practices

Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents

Experience with barista or coffee shop operations, computers and/or computerized cash register systems in food service is desirable, as is food production background. Ability to be quickly trained is essential.

Standard Work Days and Hours

Morning hours, 7:30am -12pm but exact hours are to be determined based on scheduling needs. Monday - Friday, academic year.
