To prepare financial information for input into the University and State accounting systems according to generally accepted accounting principles. Ability to analyze accounting data for adherence to University fund accounting principles and data for State financial system. Verifies and distributes daily, monthly and annual financial reports to the University community using Eprint system. Prepares journal entry documents for imaging into the Banner financial system. Analyzes and processes Chart of Accounts creation forms.

Working knowledge of client server systems such as Banner or a similar program. Working knowledge of basic accounting procedures/principles. Working knowledge of automated uploading or file transfer processes. Effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated computer skills with programs such as Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated ability to maintain filing systems. Demonstrated ability to use specialized imaging software system. Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments in a timely fashion while multi-tasking. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines when completing shared office tasks.

Considerable accounting/bookkeeping experience. Considerable experience in preparing financial analyses in a client server environment.

Moderate level of experience with preparing analyses and using automated data transmission systems in a client server environment. High School diploma or equivalent with Accounting or bookkeeping courses. Considerable computer training, especially using Excel and Word.
Conditions of Employment
Overtime required during peak periods (or as required by Supervisor).
