Director of Admission for Diversity Outreach and Partnerships
The University of Richmond invites applications and nominations for the position of Director of Admission for Diversity Outreach and Partnerships. Reporting to the Associate Vice President and Dean of Admission, the Director of Admission for Diversity Outreach and Partnerships is a senior manager within the Division of Enrollment Management and serves as one of three Directors of Admission. In partnership with the AVP and Dean, the Directors lead the senior admission management team in strategic planning and share responsibility for developing strategies and tactics to attract, recruit, and enroll a talented and diverse student body that supports the overall mission, strategic plan, and enrollment goals of the University.

The new Director will provide direction for undergraduate student recruitment and student outreach particularly in new and expanding markets, manage strategic partnerships with over 25 community-based organizations and high school partnership programs, and oversee the office-wide focus on the recruitment of domestic students of color, first-generation college students, and international students. With a proven track record of success and leadership ability, the Director must also possess the ability to train, develop, motivate, and mentor a dedicated and talented recruitment and administrative staff of 30.
Candidates will be expected to have at least eight years of progressive experience working in college admission and/or various roles within an enrollment management or higher education structure, including at least five years of direct supervisory and leadership experience. Strong oral and written communication skills, engaging and energetic presentation skills, and the ability to balance creative and data driven tools are important. A second language and experience with Slate, student search, and other admission functions is preferred. A bachelor’s degree is required and a master’s degree is strongly preferred.
