Minimum Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must have,

• A minimum of a M.S. degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution. If the candidate's M.S. degree is not in a domain related to cybersecurity or computing, then the candidate must have extensive work experience related to cybersecurity

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in the field of cybersecurity

• A strong record of outreach

• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Demonstrated experience in fund raising

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A Ph.D degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution. If the candidate's Ph.D. degree is not in a domain related to cybersecurity or computing, then the candidate must have extensive work experience related to cybersecurity

• Demonstrated evidence of administrative and leadership experience

• Capable of holding a security clearance

• A strong record of obtaining cybersecurity related grants

• Familiarity with cybersecurity operations, training, and/or cyber ranges

• Cybersecurity industry certifications including but not limited to Security+, CEH, CISSP

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) invites applications for the Inaugural Director of the Center of Cyber Security. This will be a 12-month administrative/faculty appointment beginning as soon as possible but no later than January 2020. The department offers a master's degree in Computer Information Systems and Cyber Security, a master degree in Computer Science and a bachelor's degree in computer science. The director will

• Shape and drive the vision and goals of the Center for Cyber Security

• Partner actively with government agencies, industry, other universities, and K-12

• Develop and coordinate cybersecurity training curricula and programs

• Facilitate and host cyber education events/conferences and enhance interdisciplinary cyber educational offerings and outreach initiatives

• Contribute to or lead the development of proposals for externally funded research and development programs

• Manage the facilities of the Center for Cyber Security

SALARY: Starting salary is negotiable.

FACULTY RANK: Starting rank is negotiable.
