Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Director of the Physician Assistant Program.

The candidate would be expected to: provide effective leadership and management of the Physician Assistant program; be knowledgeable about and responsible for the program: organization, administration, fiscal management, continuous programmatic review and analysis, planning, development, completion of ARC-PA required documents and adherence to the standards and ARC-PA policies; supervise the medical director, principal and instructional faculty and staff in all activities that directly related to the PA program.

The Physician Assistant program is a full-time, 95-credit graduate program that provides a rigorous, hands-on learning environment. One cohort of students enroll each fall and advances through the 36-month program together. The program is celebrating a 100% pass rate for two cohorts on the national PA certification exam.

Required Degree, License or Certifications:
Master's degree

Required Skills or Software:
Must be able to utilize a variety of computer software programs in order to successfully complete assigned tasks, Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately

Required Years of Experience: 3

Other Requirements:
Masters degree or higher in physician assistant studies or related field.

Current national Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification or license-eligible; or a physician, with a current licensure as an allopathic or osteopathic physician in New Jersey and hold current certification by an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) approved specialty board.

Three years of full-time higher education experience at the time of appointment.

Knowledgeable about physician assistant program responsibilities as dictated by Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).

Preferred Qualifications:
Successful leadership as a program director in a physician assistant program.
