Position Vice Provost for Health Affairs
Primary Responsibility
The Vice Provost for Health Affiars will cast a vision for Lipscomb University to address the health needs of communities and ascend as a national leader in health science education. Reporting to the Provost, he or she will provide the full spectrum of leadership for the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences
to include fostering a vision consistent with the spiritual and educational mission of Lipscomb, as well as providing the leadership needed to realize that vision. This leader will cultivate relationships and
build partnerships externally, elevating the visibility of the College and creating greater opportunities for collaborative partnerships between the College, industry, and other organizations with common interests. As an innovator and a collaborator, he or she will align resources and partner with College leaders to provide inspiration for advances in teaching, research, and service.

The Dean, College of Pharmacy; Executive Director, School of Nursing; Program Director, School of Physician Assistant Studies; Department Chair of Nutrition and Kinesiology; and Director of the
Dietetic Internship report to the Vice Provost for Health Affairs.

Education
Preferably possesses an earned doctorate
from an accredited institution.

Experience
Possesses a record of excellence in industry
or academic teaching, research and service

Job Related Skills
-Manage and execute the planning, administrative, budgetary and development (fund raising) functions within the academic college.

-Knowledge of principles, methods and current developments in the healthcare academic disciplines.
-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
-Ability to successfully interact with students, other educators and educational institution representatives, and the general public in a professional manner.
