The person hired will be primarily responsible for:
(1) Clinical-related responsibilities will include:
- Training and supervising students
- Coordinating student clinical internship experiences.
(2) Teaching responsibilities include:
- lecture and lab related medical laboratory courses offered in the HCC MLS program
These may include:
Primary areas
- Immunohematology
- Immunology
- Medical Microbiology
In addition
- Clinical chemistry
- Hematology
- Lab Operations
- Molecular diagnostics
- Other responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating student progress and advising of students
- Developing curriculum
- Participation in the periodic HCC program outcomes assessment
- Participation in the periodic accreditation process for the National Accrediting Agency of Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).
- Maintaining personal professional certification(s) and licensure(s)
- Maintaining educational professional development
