Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, coordinate, and implement the Military Medicine Course curriculum.
  • Develop course learning objectives, short- and long-range goals and budget.
  • Assure consistent shared military course curriculum across campuses.
  • Provide feedback and mentoring to military students
  • Collaborate with military coordinators for the implementation and logistics of course schedule, tracking student attendance and performance, and ensuring timely remuneration of guest presenters.
  • Ensures timely and quality delivery of weekly two-hour educational sessions for both first- and second- year students.
  • Liaison with course educators and mentors to ensure a high-value learning experience for students.
  • Collect and provide students’ feedback to course presenters.
  • Liaison with Rocky Vista leadership to integrate the Military Medicine Course into the University’s larger educational program and objectives.
  • Participates in training programs, professional development workshops and conferences relating to military medicine education.
  • Travel to Utah campus minimum of once each semester
  • Available for scheduled office hours weekly to provide feedback or mentoring for students.
  • Qualifications

    1. Participate in systems of quality improvement, utilization, and outcomes.
    2. Participate in Military Program Research initiatives.
    3. Participate in simulation base education.
    4. Strategic Planning
    5. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Military Medicine, Dean of COM or President
