Candidates must have excellent organizational, time management, customer service and planning skills. Candidates must be proficient with standard office equipment, including computers, fax, copier, and scanner. Previous educational experience desired but not required. Reports to the Military Services Coordinator.

Position Summary:

The military services clerical staff works under the supervision of the Military Services Coordinator at Rowan University assisting with student support, office duties and other responsibilities.

Military Services office duties and responsibilities includes registration of new students with office, helping walk ins, monitoring emails and voicemails, event tabling, presentations, required paperwork, filing, and other related duties. Student support and clerical Staff will interact with community members, students/families, faculty and staff. Should be available for nights and weekends at least twice a semester with advance notice.

This is a part time position, will not exceed 25 hours per a week, and 944 annually.

Position Duties:
  • Assist walk in students/families
  • Administration of Onboarding and registration for new incoming students
  • Monitor and answer office email
  • Complete FERPA Training and maintain compliance and confidentiality of student information and files
  • Filing of completed work materials in accordance with the established filing systems
  • Answer phone or return phone calls and provide with office or requested information
  • Communicate with professors, students, parents, and other members of the community regarding students on training and orders
  • Work with Military Services Staff to plan events for the greater campus community, student population and presentation or event tabling at other university events.
  • Attend training and professional development opportunities as directed by Military Services Coordinator
  • Complete other duties deemed reasonable and necessary by the Military Services Coordinator
