A full-time post-doctoral fellowship position is available in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, University of Cincinnati . The position is focused on water reuse from non-conventional source waters for irrigation purposes. For this specific position special focus will be reuse of water used in agricultural activities and process unit operations for water reuse. The selected applicant will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate with other researchers in the area of water reuse using non-conventional waters as part of the National Alliance for Water Innovation (NAWI) hub funded by the Department of Energy (

QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or a closely related engineering area is required. Desired skills and experience include expertise in water treatment and purification processes, especially membrane technologies, optimization of unit operation treatment trains, and technoeconomic analysis. Experience in data analysis and systems modeling is a plus. In addition, fluency in English (excellent scientific writing skills and oral communication), the ability to organize and analyze data, and disseminate research findings in peer-reviewed journals and in conferences are essential. Applicants should be present in the U.S. and be eligible to begin working upon successful background check by the University of Cincinnati and approval by funding agency.
