The Women & Minority Engineering Programs at North Carolina State University College of Engineering is seeking candidates for the position of a full-time, 12-month Program Coordinator. The responsibilities are to assist the directors of the women and minority engineering programs in developing, implementing, administering, and evaluating programs affecting the success of women and underrepresented minority engineering students while ensuring an inclusive and supportive environment for all students in the College of Engineering at NC State University.
The essential job duties include supporting diverse students by participating in and coordinating other diversity programs; co-facilitating student mentor programs and coaching student mentors; collaborating with university partners to achieve college diversity goals and other duties as assigned by directors.
Other responsibilities include interacting with corporate/industry partners to promote diversity programs; assisting with survey construction, data collection, and proposal writing to determine the effectiveness of programs and solicit funding; creating periodic marketing newsletters to highlight diversity programs; traveling to conferences for presentations/professional development; serve on relevant university and college committees, and develop collaborative relationships to advance department, college, and university goals. Review of all applications will begin February 15, 2022.
•Bachelor of Science degree in the fields of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics froman accredited college or university
•At least three years of experience working with diversity programs
•Advanced degree in the fields of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or highereducation from an accredited college or university.
•Grant writing experience
