Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Fundraising/Development Videographer for the Fundraising Campaign.

Primary Job Duties: The Fundraising/Development Videographer will report to the University Videographer and will serve as a brand champion, videographer, editor, and producer for a wide range of video projects that support Salisbury University's Fundraising Campaign content strategy and development goals. Requires a creative and passionate video storyteller who will work with SU's Communications Team to bring stories to life, including donor-centric-messaging and donor engagement videos. This position conceptualizes and executes, in a professional and timely manner, photojournalist-style video storytelling projects through filming, editing and basic typographic animation. A highly collaborative environment, the position requires strong relationships with communications, marketing and development teams. Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and creative storytelling skills are a must. Some pieces will be shorter in length for enhanced digital engagement on social media platforms while others will be longer for use on the Campaign website or at fundraising events. The candidate should be digitally savvy, well-read on content marketing research and video storytelling best practices and be comfortable crafting stories ranging from short infographics and social content to time-sensitive longer features. This role is a jack of trades part producer, part director, part camera/sound/lighting and editing person. Events will happen on weekends and evenings, so flexible hours are required.

Minimum Qualifications: Must have High School Diploma/GED and 2-3 years experience in producing photojournalist-style content marketing products. Demonstrated experience in producing photojournalist-style content marketing pieces of varying lengths with excellent storytelling and production skills.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills required. Must be detail oriented; ready for a challenge; able to jump into new projects with initiative and drive; able to effectively manage several tasks and responsibilities simultaneously; discreet. Must possess advanced judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information. Must have excellent teamwork skills including being an enthusiastic, helpful and a positive member of the SU team; being professional and responsible in conduct and behavior; being understanding of, encouraging to, and friendly with staff and donors while carrying out job duties. Must be self-motivated and use time wisely; maintain open, and exclusive, lines of communication-communicating pertinent information. Must respond positively to new ideas, and openly accept critical feedback.

Ability to walk, bend, lift up to 25 pounds; finger dexterity to pick up paper and use computer keyboard; close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; ability to hear in normal tones including telephone and face-to-face conversation.

Preferred Qualifications: It is desirable that the person owns their own camera and video equipment, but it is not essential. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere and After Effects experience a plus.

This is a part-time (19 hours per week), contractual position. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
