Assistant/Associate Professor of Finance

The Department of Economics and Finance in the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business is accepting applications for a position at the level of assistant/associate professor to begin in the fall of 2020.

Area of Specialization: Preference will be given to candidates with a focus in Investments, Derivatives, or Financial Planning.

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities: Primary job duties include teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, engaging in scholarship commensurate with the mission, service/outreach to the University, advising, and mentoring. Candidates must demonstrate an effective teaching style that supports a diverse student body.

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Finance from an AACSB institution. If ABD; would be hired at the rank of Instructor, with the expectation that the candidate completes the doctoral degree within one year of date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with documented excellence in both teaching and scholarship along with evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills.
