Assistant Professor Public Relations/Strategic Communication

The Department of Communication at Salisbury University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Public Relations beginning Fall 2020.

Primary Job Duties: Teach undergraduate Public Relations and Strategic Communication courses, especially Principles of Public Relations, Public Relations Writing courses, Public Relations Cases, Business and Professional Communication, Applied Organizational Communication, Interviewing, and other basic communication courses based on experience and qualifications. Salisbury University faculty members are expected to provide appropriate levels of scholarly activity, student advisement and service as well as utilize an effective teaching style that supports a diverse student body with a possibility of teaching courses through our interactive network to distant locations.

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. or ABD required in Public Relations and/or Organizational Communication with some experience in the Public Relations industry. If ABD; would be hired at the rank of Instructor, with the expectation that the candidate complete the doctoral degree by June 15, 2021.
