Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Executive Administrative Assistant III.

Primary Job Duties: Provide personal executive-level administrative assistance to the Provost in daily activities and role as Chief Academic Officer of the University. Supports operations of Provost's Office including: 1) prioritization, tracking and execution of various projects and processes; 2) composition of correspondence and organization of many reports; 3) preparation and revision of employment documents; 4) management of Provost's schedule including many meetings with external constituencies; 5) records management (physical and digital files) for Provost's Office; and 6) serving as liaison between administrative support staff within the deans' offices and the Provost's Office.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of associate's degree in any of several fields (e.g., business, communication, liberal arts, general studies, etc.). Six years of administrative experience or work within higher education (two of which were providing primary administrative support to an administrator level position); undergraduate or graduate study in relevant areas (e.g., business, education, higher education, communication, etc.) may be substituted for work experience.

Comprehensive knowledge of and skill in the application of office practices, procedures, and of business English, spelling, grammar, and arithmetic. Ability to quickly develop an understanding of University and USM policies and procedures and the institution's purpose, goals, and procedures. Skill in: composing a variety of correspondence; managing physical and digital filing systems; gathering and summarizing information; maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive matters with discretion and tact; interacting with students, public officials and staff at all levels in a courteous and efficient manner; planning, organizing, prioritizing and executing complicated tasks; and initiating and completing work without instruction. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; understand and follow oral and written instructions; project a professional and positive image of the institution;and represent the Office of Academic Affairs in meetings and to the public.

General knowledge of Microsoft suite products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email. Ability to learn and effectively use other platforms that are more specific to the University.

This is a full-time, Non-exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Salary expected to be $23.23 per hour.
