Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Recruitment Specialist - College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) Grant.Primary Job Duties:
The position will be responsible for promoting program services and soliciting prospective participants based on the program's eligibility criteria; work closely with partner organizations and migrant educational program staff to locate potential participants; and assist the project director with maintaining eligibility documents for potential participants and record documents of individuals recruited and enrolled in the program.Minimum Qualifications:
3 to 5 years of prior experience working with migrant seasonal farmworkers. Basic Computer Skills (word, internet, email).Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED preferred. At least one (1) year of experience working with migrant seasonal farmworkers in the Delmarva Peninsula is preferred.
This position requires knowledge of the locations on the Delmarva Peninsula where migrant and seasonal farmworkers reside, work and frequently visit; knowledge of the agricultural community on the Delmarva Peninsula, including the local growers, and agricultural production activities outlined in the project's recruitment plan; willingness and skills to collaborate with community organizations, faith based institutions, migrant educational program staff and a working knowledge of the services they provide. Ability to speak Spanish and/or Creole. Willingness to work flexible hours and drive to places migrant and seasonal farmworkers are located.
This is a part-time, non-exempt contractual position. The starting salary is $15.00 per hour.
